How do I split a PDF file - eg from 1 A3 page to 2 A4s

Hi,

Simple question here, but I can't find the solution.

I scanned some old booklets and need to reorder the pages to make them readable (and printable). How do I split the pile of A3 pages I have into a set of A4 pages?
