How do I stop Acrobat DC Pro from tabbing when I open pdfs???

I do not want my pdfs to open in the same window just tabbed. How do I turn this off?

Go to Edit (or the Acrobat app menu on a Mac) - Preferences - General and tick off "Open documents as new tabs...".

Preferences - General does not have "Open Document As New Tabs" as an option, so it can't be shut off?????
