how to add reason on digital signature

New Here ,
Feb 01, 2018 Feb 01, 2018

I have set up my Certificate ID, using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I have selected the option to show my signature reason, but when I Digitally Sign the document, there is no option for me to type or select my signature reason.

This was a very simple task on my Adobe Acrobat XI, but now that my program has been updated to Pro DC I am lost. Please help!!

Hello nadineg8779591

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are not getting the reason to sign a PDF document using certificate id, Is that correct?

Please follow the steps to enable the Reason option while signing a PDF using Certificates:

  • Navigate to Edit>Preferences>Signatures.
  • Click on More under Digital Signature.

  • Under Signing, Select the checkbox Show Reasons.
  • Click Ok.
  • Click Ok again.
  • Close the PDF file and Acrobat.
  • Launch the Acrobat and sign the PDF.
  • The reason tab will be available now.

You may also refer to About certificate signatures in Adobe Acrobat

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Anand Sri.

Is there a way to add my own reason to my digital certificate instead of the few drop down options it gives?
