How to create a flipbook PDF

Is there a way to create a flipbook PDF either in InDesign CC or Acrobat DC Pro for Mac?

No. It requires using Flash, which is being phased out and should not be used any longer, certainly not in new files.

Thought so. I try my best to satisfy the customer. I can purchase Flipbook software, however it will no longer be a PDF. Besides that, what I find is a flipbook may have been cool a few years ago, but it is not always user friendly. Thank you for your reply!

Yes, it's nothing but decoration, and it destroys so many useful features that PDF files have to make it completely not worth it, in my opinion.

I am also looking for a page turn animation.  I agree it was possible with Flash, and Flash is gone. That doesn't mean the function  is no longer design/business requirement. Via third party, I've seen very nicely contained flipbooks with easy, elegant page turns. I am disappointed that Adobe does not offer a standard animation that imitates a page turn for EPUB. I know I can fly in, or swirl in, etc.,  What I need to meet the business requirement is a page turn. Any ideas/tips?
