How to exit tools in acrobat

New Here ,
Oct 29, 2018 Oct 29, 2018

Okay, no doubt this is simple and staring me in the face, but since tmy latest update to Acrobat Pro DC I cannot figure out how to get back to the document once I'm in tools. Used to be a command or button or something that would take you right back, but now: i can't find one.

And I went of my mind, going around in circles on this site, trying to find out how to contact adobe support.
I mean: I've spent thousands of dollars on adobe for the last 20 or more years, and I ought to be able to ask a question.

The tools will bring up a tab and there is a Close button at the far right. Earlier versions had an X. The name is on the far left.

I'm sorry but there isn't any such close button on my screen. Not that i can find. Could you send a screen shot, maybe I'm missing the obvious.

Whoops....once you're in the document, it's there, but not in the select tools window.

Hi Darrell,

I posted three screen shots above. When you click the Comment tool, for instance, it opens a bar across the top with the options. There is a close button on the far right. (It used to be an X.) The other tool that I did earlier are Organize Pages and Edit PDF.

But maybe you meant something else?
