How to initiate default startup settings

New Here ,
Sep 12, 2019 Sep 12, 2019

Hi there.

I make manuals at work and like to view my documents in the horizontal way by changing the view in the options menu. Although, when I create these manuals I have A LOT of seperate documents and I would like to make it easier by having this horizontal view setting by defualt at startup. Is there any way this can be fixed?

Thank you in advance.

Regards.

Martin

Hi Kopfweh,

Welcome to the new community. As described above, you want to set horizontal view settings by default at the startup, correct?

The initial view settings are decided by the author / creator of the PDF, once the PDF is created we can not change the initial view settings.

Alternately, you may try the suggestions provided in the Adobe help article - https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/viewing-pdfs-viewing-preferences.html and check if that helps.

What is the application you are using to view the PDF, is it Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (freeware) or is it Adobe Acrobat DC (Paid subscription)?

Hope that works for you, keep us posted with the result.

Regards,

Amal
