Hi community,

I have to insert the same text across all pages in the pdf at the same spot across 100 pages. How can I do this? Is there a way to automate this task?

Yes, this can be done using a script.

The tricky part is to define the location where you want to insert the text or stamp. Also, the two things are quite different.

Which one do you want to add? And if text, do you want to use a comment or a text field?

PS. I forgot to mention that I've developed a (paid-for) tool that allows you to duplicate a comment of any kind (stamp, text box, etc.) from one page to multiple ones. You can find it here: http://try67.blogspot.com/2009/07/acrobat-duplicate-annotations-to.html

If you use a text field, though, it's very easily done using the built-in Duplicate Field Across Pages command.

Is this a one time operation? or is it done frequently?

You'll find a free tool that already does a variation of this, called the "File Name Stamper" here:
