Hi,
Just bought the ad pro latest version but im working on old pdfs saved/created under my old free version.
Can anyone explain how to remove properties and personal details from the pdf details tab in properties?
the underscored link at the bottom " remove properties and personal information" doesnt work. Just opens a new dialog to select all or remove all which does not function.

Thanks. You seem to be using Windows File Explorer. What you need to do to change document properties is start Acrobat Pro and go to Properties from the File menu. You should see something like this:
You can change the Title, Author, Subject and Keywords.

You seem from your first screen shot to be trying to delete something that appears for every file, and is nothing to do with Acrobat, and is not part of the file.
What is your specific concern?

This has nothing to do with Acrobat. It's a function of the OS. Try asking in a Microsoft forum.

I still don't understand which of these properties are bothering you... Is it the Owner and Computer ones?
If so, they are not a part of the file itself. If you send it to someone else they would appear differently for them, just like the Folder Path "property" will. It's a specific setting on the file-system of each computer, not some metadata info that's embedded in the file. You can easily test it by sending the file to yourself and viewing it on another computer.

Agreed, this is nothing to do with Acrobat, or PDF files at all. It is part of how Windows works, and these cannot be removed, any more than you could make a file with no name.
If you work for a company, seek help from your help desk so they can explain why what you want to do cannot be done and is not needed.

You can only remove properties and information which you have added to the file.
