Hello,

after deleting paragraphs in a PDF document in Acrobat Reader, my document ends up with lots of empty spaces. How can I reformat the document to restore a consistent format ?

Thank you.

The problem is that if you remove a paragraph or more, the following paragraphs can only be raised up to the top of a page, and then they stop being manually raised anymore — and this is not even done automatically for the paragraphs that are on the same page.

The only way I've found to do this was after removing the content, saving the document as a Word document, and once in Word, formatting as needed, and then resaving it. However, once in Word, you have more control of the text placement, meaning the entire document is best dealt with in Word.

Which brings the crux of the matter: Acrobat is neither a word processor nor a page layout application. If you need to make significant edits to a PDF, it is always better to go through the original application that created the document. Word is a handy fallback application, but not as good as the original.
