I am trying to create a process flow chart using my acrobat X Pro and I could use some instructions on how to do this.  I am looking for user instructions to help me create this process flowchart.

Acrobat is not an authoring tool. You should not attempt to create the file in it from scratch. Use another application (InDesign, Word, etc.) and then convert the file to PDF using Acrobat when done.

On a budget, download the free (and open source) LibreOffice, install, and open LibreOffice Draw, which comes with a good flow charting tools. LibreOffice exports directly to PDF.
