I'm using Acrobat Pro DC on Windows 11 Pro.
I cannot add text through Edit OR Fill and Sign.
When I try to add text through Edit, my curosr does not change. It's the nomal black filled arrow instead of the text cursor with a letter. Photo Attached.
When I try to add text through fill and sign, some of the buttoms are missing at the top of the ribbon. Photo Attached.
When I click to add text through fill and sign, it leaves "Type text here" in gray text but when I type, nothing comes up. The button for adding text in this mode is missing. Photo Attached.
I've unisntalled and reinstalled. I've cleared my local preferences and everything I don't know what else I can do. Before resinstalling, it was crashing frequently.
Anyone have any idea what's going on here?
I'm copying my System Parameters here, I fully understand that it says I'm using WIndows 10.

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
Please try to repair the installation of Acrobat from the help menu and reboot the computer once and see if that works.
Also, try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows and try using the application there and check.
Regards
Amal

Hi there
Hope you're doing well and thanks for reaching out.
What happens when you try to add text to the PDF file? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for clarity. A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.
What is the version of the Acroabt and the OS you are using? Go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure its updated to the latest version 25.01.20643 Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Let us know how it goes.
