Greetings,
unfortunately this AcrobatUpd11023.msp update is essential to avoid having a continuous crash of the application, but it has been removed from Adobe's servers.
Kindly, can someone re-link it?
Thank you.
Simon.

You can get it from here, but you need an FTP client. Browsers will no longer open this link:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/11.x/11.0.23/misc/AcrobatUpd11023.msp

I admint my ignorance, but could you provide instructions for how to obtain the patch file using FTP. I tried installing an FTP client but got lost in the details of configuring it. I downloaded FLING from NCH.

I recommend FileZilla. You can get it from here: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client
Once you install it, paste the path (without the file name, so just ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/11.x/11.0.23/misc/ ) into the Host text field at the top and press Enter, and it will connect to the FTP server and browse to that folder. Then double-click the file on the right-hand pane and it will download to the folder on your computer that's open in the left-hand pane. It should look like this:

Thank you for your fast response. I ran it and it seems to have worked. Thank you and "straighten up and fly straight" as we used to say in the Air Force. I know, I know... they stole that line and used it in Avatar!

Hi @maddogcr,
Thank you for posting this question.
I would like to mention that in order to install an update manually, one needs to understand whether the previous update installed on the machine for the app was a QFE or a quarterly/monthly update. If the last update was a QFE update, the immediate next monthly/quarterly update patch must be installed before any new future update can be installed. If the previous update patch was other than a QFE, can any future update be installed?
FYI: Please try to avoid installing updates or patches for unverified sources, as those patches may cause problems on your system.

I pasted the path (as suggested by try67 above in FileZilla, and got a message in red saying, "Critical error: Could not connect to server." Does this mean that the update is no longer available from Adobe?

Yes, unfortunately. The FTP server is completely down. I tried inquiring if this is something permanent or a temporary issue, but got no reply...

Thanks so much, try67, for your help. I really appreciate your time in trying to resolve this issue. Too bad Adobe took their FTP server down.

I also jumped through rings of fire to get the update and saved it. It seems to be about 500mb plus the installer. How can I send a file that large to you? My email wouldn't allow it.

Thanks for your reply, maddogcr. How about Dropbox? It says the maximum file size is 50GB when uploading from their website (dropbox.com). That's the only thing I could think of, unless someone else has another suggestion.

Hi maddogcr:
I got FileZilla. I have tried to FTP and download the file, but it seems to still be down.
Can you send me the file? I think when you email... Gmail will create a google drive?

Here is the file "AcrobatUpd11023.msp" located at "Patch Updates from ManageEngine". no FTP required. I downloaded it, ran the file, used ignore when it tried to find a file from the CD, sits a little while after 0 seconds and then goes to completing the install. finishes successfully and requires a reboot. After reboot open Acrobat XI Pro, go to help, open about Acrobat XI Pro... Version 11.0.23 installed. Crashing is fixed.
Hope this help. Click on the file listed below and download the Patch "AcrobatUpd11023.msp" from the site.
