Version 2023.003.20201 is absolutely terrible!! Who decided to change the UX and UI of this app? It was perfectly fine. Now it's unusable. How does one go back a version? I should have turned off my auto-updates. This is a very dissapointing update in every possible way. Would love some info on my request. Thank you.

Or, you can choose DISABLE NEW ACROBAT. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/new-acrobat-experience.html

I want to thank Kodak for helping me, they gave me instructions how to remove the current version and links to last years version. This version broke multiple plug-ins and so many other issues with how it ran. I cant even use any Plug ins with a 4k monitor since over a year ago. At least last year the Plug ins would run on Non 4 K monitors. Adobe needs to be more aware of what the users needs are and work with companies like Kodak that have Prepress plug ins that are for printing. Adobe, let us know when this is fixed.

Thank you for this easy to follow outline on how to "FIX" Adobe. Of course, if they would quit breaking it (I had another word in mind, but knew it would throw guideline erro) by updating a program that already works great, Adobe users wouldn't have to rely on other users to find a work-around.

Thank goodness! I've been using Acrobat for years, and that was absolutely the worst update I've ever seen on any product, ever. It's impossible to find anything, and it's completely unintuitive.

You cannot DISABLE NEW ACROBAT if the option doesn't appear in the menu. Yes, I double-checked where it should be and it wasn't there! (M1 Mac) This new software is buggy (cursing removed), missing essential features and not fit for release. The only solution I found (through Enfocus, more helpful than Adobe who don't seem to care about the mess they've created) was to get the old version from a Time Machine backup and prevent any future updates.

Thank you for this, I was in the middle of a project with a client and it auto-updated to this horrible interface. It's funny because, not so long ago, I was saying how happy I was with my basic old looking Adobe Acrobat...

The Disable new Acrobat Reader doesn't work on my computer. What now?

I don't see anything about disabling the new acrobat I hate this new version
Change is NOT always good. Always listen to your clients and give them a way back to the old if they don't like the new version. This just breeds resentment as it's making our jobs more difficult. Trying to edit now is a nightmare

Just had my first user experience with this new interface. I'm all for new UIs that improve the user's experience, but after familiarizing myself with the new interface, I cannot see how I can be more productive with it and get more out of Acrobat. The previous version is much better. So, thank you Adobe for allowing the user, via the menu, to revert to the previous version which is a much better user experience, including the layout, the menus, and all the functionality that is easy to find and available in minimal clicks. PLEASE retain the functionality of the menu to enable the user to revert to the previous version.

Looks at the option right below "VIEW"---- Disable new Acrobat. That's the one.
At lease they made this very easy! Thank you everyone for pointing this out!!
They made it so easy to switch back that I think they knew people were going to hate it. Why do it then? Why push something like this mess?

The selection you are looking for is right below "view" - I assume you spotted it but am commenting for anyone else who comes here. I disabled the new version because, not only was it frustrating to navigate, it completely screwed up a plug-in on which I rely heavily.

Thank you. I hate the newer version! All of the menus are on the wrong sides of the document and all of the icons make it difficult when you are trying to edit something in a hurry. I have now reverted back.

I'm with you 100% John !! I only use Adobe Acrobat Pro occationally for work. I didn't know how to use the previous version very well. This new update changed the entire interface. The few tools I use have been moved (somewhere) which makes Acrobat unusable to me. I can't even find the Hand tool now. I need to revert back so I can get some work done. There should be a verision like Photoshop Express. People like us need more than Acrobat Reader, but not all the functions and complexity of Acrobat Pro.
