I know this question has been asked before...
I have a custom clothing catalogue that I created with Acrobat Pro DC. It allows customers to see the selection of clothing available for customization. I would like the customer to be able to import their own artwork (png file), superimposing it over the clothing items, then save the pdf and send back to us with an order form.
It sounds so simple and yet I haven't found a way to achieve this!
Yesterday I was optimistic because I discovered event.target.buttonImportIcon() and everything worked according to plan....until I tested it in Adobe Reader. Dreams dashed! It allows you to import but not a png file. It just imports it with a white or black background and doesn't at all render as it should or as it had in Acrobat.
Anyone know of this issue and a work around that would work in my favour?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Mel

So you were able to import a PNG file, but it didn't look right, or you
weren't able to import it all? Your description is not very clear... If
it's the former then you need to update Reader to the newest version
available and you'll be able to do it.

Thanks. Just checked Reader and it is the most up to date.
See below for images. The 'Place your logo here' acts as a button but will not import png. According to others, it will only import pdf? It so silly.

It will import PNG files if you have the latest version. Can you post a screenshot of what you see under Help - About Adobe Reader?
It seems your issue is with transparency. If your field's fill color is set to Transparent (or No Color), and the image has a real transparent background then it should work.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
