Indexing, for what it's worth (maybe not much these days) is a feature only in Acrobat Pro.

Were you able to resolve this? I am reading https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/creating-pdf-indexes.html but don't have "Index" available in my Tools. I am running Adobe Acrobat Standard DC 2022.002.20191, 64-bit.

I guess that would explain it. The help page says nothing about Pro being required for indexing, and it implies it's not required due to stuff further down the page where it specifically says Pro is required.

Please can you tell us (1) the actual version of Acrobat Pro that you have - not "latest" but something like 2016.123.34344. (2) a link to the tutorial you are trying to follow.

Often problems come because the tutorial is for a different version.
