hi guys. i use adobe acrobat pro 9 in MacBook air (macOs sierra 10.12.6). i was using a pdf book that i downloaded from an online ebook library (z library). i was reading & making a highlight. i was reading other pdf books as well and after a while adobe acrobat got stuck & gave me some error messages (which i couldn’t remember exactly) & then i tried to close the application but couldn’t do that. So I force quit adobe acrobat & re-opened the pdf book that I downloaded from the ebook library. But I started getting invalid annotation object error message.
I tried to fix the problem by following what’s mentioned here (https://acrobatusers.com/forum/collaboration-commenting/invalid-annotation-object/. I followed the steps in Fix 1 but I couldn’t delete the highlight on the page that has problem. However, I followed the steps in Fix 2 & managed to extract the page that has invalid annotation object. But as I said I couldn’t delete the highlight on the page that has invalid annotation object.
Can you help??

Let me move this to the Acrobat forum for you, where you are more likely to receive an answer to your question.
Be aware that Acrobat Pro 9 is EOL. Someone may be able to help you on the forum, but Adobe itself no longer supports it.
Note that the Community Help forum is for help in how to use the Adobe Communities. Product questions should be posted in the associated product community.

Since you are running a Mac with 10.12.6 your Mac must be several years old. I suspect what you are experiencing is a Disk, SSD, Hard drive, problem and not specifically Adobe Acrobat problem.
There is no reason for any program to stop functioning properly all of a sudden unless there was a hardware problem.
