I have used adobe acrobat Xi for many years. I tried to move the adobe acrobat XI prog licence from one computer to another but it will no longer work. I see many adverts for this adobe acrobat pro 2018 licence price approx £30 for one computer for all time but I dont know if it is actually a real adobe product. It is much cheaper than anything I am finding on the actual adobe site.  I only use adobe for basic typing and editing of documents.  I don't do anything fancy and it seems expensive to move onto a propduct that is over £200 a year.  I'm not sure what to do.  Any advice would be welcome please

It's most likely a scam, or pirated software. Adobe doesn't sell this outdated version any longer.

If you tell us what your needs are we might be able to make a recommendation.

I only use Adobe for basic word processing although I do like to keep the
options of doing more in depth documentation as I do use it for business.
It seems a lot to pay to go for the pro version at £20 a month. I bought
Adobe acrobat XI but when I tried to move the software from one computer to
the other the serial number won't work. I took the authorisation from my
other computer but I can't get it back into that one now either.

Acrobat is not a word processing application and should not be used as such. Use something like Word and then create a PDF file when the file is done. You can create the PDF using Acrobat, but honestly Word has a built-in feature for doing it, which is sufficient for most users. If that's all you need Acrobat for, then you can skip it entirely and just use the free Reader to display your files, and save yourself some money.

hi Try

Thank you for answering and trying to save me some money.  I've found that just using word doesn't seem to be enough for what I do so I think I probably use Adobe more often and for stuff which word doesn't do.  I'm just a bit disappointed that I'm not able to continue to use acrobat xI although I appreciate why it is no longer supported.  I'll take another look at what's available and then make a decision.  cheers
