Is it possible to design an editable form with images?

Hi all,

My company has a sales sheet for our products. Right now when we get a new dealer/distributor, they can send us their logo and contact info and I customize the sheet for them in Illustrator, then send them a PDF. I wanted to make it available online and let them upload their logo, and type in the contact info and hit submit and get a sheet back automatically. Any thoughts on the best way to do that? The other option might be an editable PDF, but most of my clients will not have a) any design experience and b) any fancy tools even Acrobat Pro DC. At best they might have the free Acrobat Reader.

Acrobat Pro DC does, in fact, have an editable image field.

Go Tools > Prepare Form

and locate the image icon

Users with Acrobat Reader will be able to insert their logo into this field.

For the other information, simply create editable text fields for them to input their contact info, etc, and add a "submit" button to the page. (Though I don't think you actually want to submit the form... you just want them to be able to print/keep a copy of what they've just created, correct? If yes, then you don't need a submit button. You'd probably prefer a Save or Print button instead.)

Some browsers have difficulty with fillable fields, so the user may be forced to download the PDF from your site and then open in Reader. If this isn't an ideal solution, you may have to look at creating an HTML form instead of a PDF form.

Or building a simple web form on designofhome.com that takes their logo and info, then merges it with your Illustrator/PDF template using automation (Adobe PDF Services API or InDesign Data Merge).
