Is it possible to do a search of PDF's by date vs name

I am trying to find a file, the name of which I do not recall.  I do, however, have a date.

Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. As per the description above, you want to search a PDF by the date it was created, Is that correct?

As Myron correctly mentioned that you can search the PDF by date from the Windows Explorer or from Find(Spotlight Search) in Mac by choosing the date in the search field.

For searching within the PDF, you can refer to Adobe article Searching PDFs, Adobe Acrobat

Yes, you can search by date. Open windows explorer, then choose the date in the search field
