is there any way to check PDF/A-3 format

Hi All,

 

Recently it is requirement of goverment to have A-3 PDF files for e-invoicing so we want to know how to check PDF/A-3 format and how to convert XML PDF to A-3 format, is there any tool to install on computer?

So, it's just a PDF converted from XML, not an XML PDF? May sound the same thing, but it isn't...

 

In Acrobat you can use File > Save as > Other and select PDFA. Click Settings and choose PDF/A-3a, PDF/A-3b or PDF/A-3u. HOWEVER, you cannot use Acrobat on the Oracle server; people would need to download their generated PDFs and convert them in Acrobat. The code used in Acrobat is available from its makers in a server version, Callas PDFAPilot.

Right-click on the left icons bar to show the "Standards" pane, then click "Verify Conformance":

We are generating PDF from our Oracle ERP JDE using BI publisher, it is coverting XML to PDF.

Hi Dear,

 

Thanks a lot, I opened some PDF files but it is not showing conformance option in left side pane, it is only showing thumnail and attachment options. so what does it mean, is it not compliance with A-3?

I think you are correct. One file is compliant. One file is not compliant. Have you done anything to make the file compliant?

thanks, We hired thirdparty company to convert our XML PDF file to A-3 format with QR code but we didn't yet know how to check. the file which is not showing complaince it is generated from thirdparty 🙂 .
