My acrobat will not combine files like in previous versions. Also, if I have a pdf open and then try to open another pdf, it takes upwards of 5 minutes and then all the sudden opens even if acrobat is no longer running because I gave up waiting. Seems to be an issue with the most recent updates. Anyone else have this problem with either function?
Also if I go to open a previously viewed multiple page pdf, it only opens on the page I last closed it with...why isn't it opening at page 1 like it used to?

Try to revert to the Classic UI: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-2023-how-to-revert-to-classic-gui-user-in...
Consider the "new Acrobat" as a beta version, many features are still missing or half-implemented.

I did this already and I have uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, etc. Still not working. I need the combine files feature to work as part of my job and this is very frustrating.

Hello,
I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.
Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.2039x Planned update, Jan 23, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check.
For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/3Ec2tUL.
Also, Is this issue occurring with a specific PDF or all PDFs when trying to combine? Please make sure that the OS installed is also updated to it's latest version.
If this is happening with the new Acrobat UI while combining files, would it be possible to share the set of PDF file which you are trying to combine, a screen recording, and the logs from the affected machine for further investigation? Acrobat Diagnostic tool.
About the second question, please check the PDF properties and check the PDF view settings. You can also set it as per your preference, see this article for more details: https://adobe.ly/4htWmcW
Also, the recommendation is to use the Acrobat new UI experience and the tools. To know more about the new UI, please see this article: https://adobe.ly/40H4yzT
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

There are multiple issues with the most recent version. I am currently operating on Windows 11 and Acrobat 24.1. Ever since this most recent update, I can no longer open a pdf file...then open another one at the same time. Then I close acrobat and have to open each file separately - never an issue before. Also as far as combining files, i have been able to combine files with no restriction on file count in past version. It only allows me to combine around 100 or less at a time. This was never an issue before.

i am running 2024.005.20320 on Windows 11, version 24H2.
It looks like part of what is happening and each time i open a file, it's signing me back into acrobat, but i'm not logged out...sort of weird.
