I have been using Adobe Acrobat to turn Japanese language .pdf documents into searchable text. This often results in errors since the ocr function fails to recognize furigana or or "ruby"--which refers to the small font explanatory script either on top of or to the left of Japanese characters. Is there a setting or tool I can use to eliminate these errors?

We apologize for the inconvenience caused and for the delayed response. Please navigate to Enhance Scan> Recognize Text> Click on the Gear sign for Settings> From the Output tab, change/select the option Editable Text and Images>Click Ok, and run the Recognize Text and see if this brings any difference.
