Javascript Errors with Digital Signature

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

Attached are the 2 javascript-related error messages that pop up when digitally signing a document in Adobe DC Standard (tried 2015 and continuous, both had the issue). Usually error 1 pops up than error 2 right after, but sometimes only 1 appears. When this happens, the PDF gets curropted, so the user has to close/reopen the unsigned file to sign again.

We do have a document manager. I've tested digitally signing when the document manager is closed, and Adobe does trigger its own "save-as" by opening file explorer to save the signed copy with a new name. However, when the document manager triggers this same thing (just offers the option to save in the DM), these errors appear.

I've tried repairing Adobe, uninstall/reinstall, removing and re-adding the digital signature, and most recently, disabling the "save-as optimizes for fast web view" option in Preferences>Documents in Adobe.

Is there an Adobe option that can fix this? I think it's basically being told to "save-as" the signed document which causes Javascript errors and curropts the document. Any suggestions for options to bypass this? We can't turn off the document manager.

Ignore the fact that it's a debugger. The only interesting thing is that error messages appear in it. It does not stop execution (though it might do if you start clicking the buttons - I don't recommend that!)

Seems to be running OK to me.

Without the script is hard to see where exaclty is this talking place.

Taking the screenshot above as a reference, it seems like it could be a function calling or expecting for something : See this discussion as an example of what could be the issue.

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/47532202/jquery-check-if-all-required-inputs-from-a-form-are-not...

In addition, you posted yesterday  a screenshot from Google images.

Are dthose computers with Acrobat XI using E-Script built-in functions with Acrobat SOAP?

If yes, this changes the whole ball game of what is happening. You may have to tell your IT department to check about how they're implementing SOAP methods in this script and how the SOAP API's are invoked from the javascript in this document.

If you refer to the Adobe Campaign Classic Help, "About Web services", there is an important notice  that stresses about the number of authorized engine Calls per day varies upon license contract.

I was wondering if this also could be the issue with those two computers.

Ok I think I got the debugger working. It prompts before running every script, and I keep clicking "yes". I saw it sign the form, then it removed the signature and created the error. This ONLY happens when I save-as through the DM (not replace file though it).

Ok I think I got the debugger running, and prompting before running the next script. Adobe prompts for "Document-Actions:Document Will Save?" twice. After it runs the first time, the document shows the digital signature properly, than the second wipes it out.

I just checked %appdatalocal%\temp. There is an Adobe folder and Adobesaveas ,  but both are empty. Which log files should I link, to avoid sending personal information? Also, the event viewer didn't seem to show any applicable errors but I wasen't sure what exacly to be looking for, so I just checked recent "Error" and "information" events.
