Javascript in Adobe Form in conjunction with scanning

I have inherited an Adobe form and to my chagrin, I could not find anyone in my organization who can help me. Hoping someone here can help me.

When I scan the expiration barcode, it reads something like this: &>0253652359. What I need is a script to convert that to the expiration date in the form.

I need the script to remove the &>, convert the 025 to the year (e.g. 2025), the Julian date to a month and date (e.g. 365 to 31 DEC) and the 2359 to a time (e.g. 2359 to 23:59).

I tried ChatGPT for help but what was proposed did not work. Can anyone help?

I don't see why we should do the work for free that ChatGPT was not able to do...

I wish I could. My company won't authorize it. 😞
