Just upgraded to CC Pro. Acrobat Pro is not offered in the apps to install, but CC Pro is advertised as containing Acrobat Pro, not just Acrobat Standard. Got on the phone with a tech, but I don't think he knew what he was talking about. Didn't sound very confident, and what he implied was that the "Acrobat" that I was seeing that was installed WAS actually "Acrobat Pro" - even though there was NO indication of such - even in the "About" section and all the usual places.
I see that others have had this issue - is this a "thing" in CC Pro now - are we waiting for a bug fix?
Anybody got a *real* fix for this issue?

Hi billbled,
Thank you for reaching out.
Acrobat Pro is still part of the Creative Cloud Pro plan. Could you please share a screenshot of the application available in the Creative Cloud desktop application?
You may try installing the Acrobat from the following page: https://adobe.ly/4oKGDuD.
Check if that helps.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

I wish I had that - but I don't. I don't have "Install Premium Features" in my Help menu.

I'm wondering if there is any real way to get this resolved? @Meenakshi Negi has gone radio silent. My phone call to Tech Support was not at all helpful - should I try again with Tech Support/different tech or does anyone have another suggestion? Not having much luck gaining traction on getting this issue fixed.

does your computer meet specs, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html
do you have a teams, enterprise or education subscription?
do you have adobe reader installed?

Hi,
Yes, the system CCPro is installed on meets requirements: Win 11 Pro 64 bit, AMD 9900x, 128GB RAM, 9TB of HDD, AMD Radeon RX6600 GPU
Yes, I have a MS Office 365 subscription, so I have Teams.
No, I do not have Adobe Reader installed.

with teams, you need to contact your admin. it's their option to include the apps they want team members to have access to.

Nope.
Not applicable.
I have a private subscription to Office 365 and CC Pro. Not managed by any corporate entity.
But thanks.

you said you had teams. check your account, https://account.adobe.com
what's it show for subscription type?

Sorry- I've looked but I don't see the words "Subscription Type" anywhere on my account page? Got a pointer to what you're asking? I'm sort of lost with "Subscription Type". I'm just an individual so there's no company, education or corporate entity involved in my Office 365/Teams or CCPro subscriptions - it's just me - I am the Admin.

if you're the admin and you did not create a custom cc desktop app installer, you have an individual subscription.
so, clicking the three dots at the upper right of your acrobat icon > view product details
should show
if it does, install (or open) it. that should be the correct app.

From the testing I've done it appears that I have the Pro features available. Just wish Adobe would label the software accurately. Anyway - thanks for your help with this, and as I posted to Nancy below - I've got to get on with things. Wasted too much time chasing this down for something that could've been avoided completely if Adobe had just labeled software correctly.
But again - thanks for your help and time.

i never noticed before you made your observations, but i have to agree with you. the naming should be better.
but this isn't unusual (unfortunately). there were and are a lot of adobe app names/versions that weren't and aren't handled well (imo).

The reason it is labeled just "Acrobat" is because there is a free version of the Creative Cloud. It includes the Acrobat _Reader_, Express, Bridge, and a few other items. Since the Creative Cloud app is the same, I assume would be problematic to change the Acrobat name depending on the subscription status.

**Surely** the geniuses at Adobe could figure that out.

Apparently not, or they have more important things to work on.

I do have what you show. But (and this is solely my point) it only shows "Acrobat" - everywhere in the CCPro installed universe on my computer - it only shows "Acrobat", not "Acrobat Pro".
WHY?
This is confusing - in the marketing for subscribing to CC Pro, it clearly states the subscription includes "Acrobat Pro" - yet - once installed - all I ever see is "Acrobat". That's my entire issue.
Does *anyone* actually see their installed Acrobat app - on their computer - show up as "Acrobat Pro" anywhere?
Is this marketing confusion from Adobe?
When I run Acrobat - and click "Help" then "About Adobe Acrobat" - *not* "About Adobe Acrobat Pro" - see attached JPG.

Don't be too pedantic about titles. Just trust it.
Acrobat includes the whole enchilada for paid Creative Cloud subscribers— mobile, web, desktop, e-sign, scan, export, edit, comment, forms, etc...

Not being "pedantic". Just wish Adobe would title their software accurately. Testing the features on what I have installed vs the comparison chart I've found and yes, it appears that Acrobat Pro is installed.
From a customer standpoint -WHY should I even have to do that. Why can't Adobe simply label their software accurately. I'm not an Adobe guru - I'm just a guy wanting to use their software to get stuff done for work and church. In my work I deal with a LOT of very technical issues - and details and accuracy matter a lot. All Adobe would have to do is have thier software be labelled correctly (compared to the marketing material I viewed when I purchased the sub) and it would've saved me several hours of chasing this down.
"Trust it".... um no. After all the corporate screwups I've dealt with? Not gonna happen.
Thanks for everyone's help with this but I can't waste any more time on this.

I'm glad this was here because I am having the same issue. I uninstalled my "Acrobat" because it wasn't labelled Acrobat Pro. I have been looking for how to download it and it's like I am not subscribed to the creative pro plan. It is frustrating when instructions for Standard vs Pro are labelled as such. I can't agree more that the lack of proper labelling has led me down an hour or more of frustration.
