Keyboard auto-popup on Microsoft Surface tablets

New Here ,

Hello everyone!

I am creating forms for a doctor's office for patients to fill out forms on a Microsoft Surface tablet (needed to run our CRM software). I can get everything as I want however I cannot get the on-screen touch keyboard to popup automatically.

As well, clicking the keyboard key brings up the keyboard but it doesn't move the document up (or shrink it) so the keyboard can then cover part of the document including the part you are supposed to be typing in. I've read and searched FAQs online but have not found the solution.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Cheers!
Kerry

You can change the keyboard from being fixed at the bottom of the screen to being floating, so you can move it around if needed:

  1. Click the gear icon in the top left.
  2. Change from fixed to floating keyboard.

That way you can fill out the complete form without the bottom of the form being blocked by the keyboard.
