Hello,

After the latest update, it seems a form our orginization uses very frequently has been ruined. The form has many fillable fields, all created utilizing the "Prepare Form" tool. Now, random, but not all fillable fields have dissapeared. I went into attempt to fix the issue, and when Prepare Form is launched, the fields do exist, but properties cannot be changed nor can the field be deleted. It seemed to change the fields with issues to a massive font size, and removed any of the field names. When I attempt to delete the problem-child fields via any method, nothing happens. Same with changing any settings of the field (font, font size, name, border/fill colors, anything. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi @JakeNoble

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF form or with all the PDFs? Please try to edit a different PDF form and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.08.20533 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and see if that helps.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that.

Please share a small video recording of the issue and the steps taken. Also collect the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html  , Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html  and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.

Regards
Amal
