I have had Acrobat 9 Pro installed for a few years. Recently, it stopped working. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and now I have the error message: "Licensing for this product has stopped working" followed by a code 148:3
I think that my computer has tried to validate the serial number and the Adobe server that handles the authorization requests doesn't recognize the s/n any more. This is understandable because this version is old. I did a community search and the only thing I found was a problem with dream weaver.
Does anyone have a workaround for this? I don't use Acrobat much any more and buying a new version isn't worth the trouble. But I do use it and would like to keep it running.
TIA for any advice. I put the topic General Troubleshooting down, but I'm not sure if this applies, but it's the topic that makes the most sense to me.
Paul

We can't help you with this issue. Adobe decided to make these older versions non-usable by disabling their activation servers.

Adobe Acrobat 9 is an old and Eol application. For more information please take a look at the help article https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/end-support-acrobat-8-reader.html

I had the same issue and found Adobe has a tool that attempts to remedy the licensing issue.
