Links in PDF not reading in screen reader

Hello,

I am working on a PDF to make it accessible but I've come up against an issue I've never had before and I'm hoping someone can help. A flyer was created in InDesign using the tools to make it accessible but when it is converted to PDF for some reason the links don't read for a screen reader. I can see them and access them by mouse click but they are invisible to the screen reader. Any ideas?

You may want to visit the Tags panel to see if the link is actually tagged as a link.  If you've never been down the tagging path, fasten your seatbelt... but it's not too rough.  If it is mistagged, you can right-click on the tag, Properties, and change it to a link tag with the dropdown.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for the idea. I checked and it was indeed tagged as a link. I'm just stumped. I ended up clearing all of the tags and starting from scratch. I got it done but I still don't know why the links weren't picked up properly from the InDesign document.

Best,

Lauren
