When on the Microsoft Community board, I was told that this is an Adobe created problem. So posting here.
Whenever I open a Word document, I get a dialog. See copy below.
Is there a way to get rid of these warnings or does it indicate an issue needing corrective action.
Thank you.

Whilst not getting the same message, I am getting error messages, such as 'Part of this app has been blocked' or 'This application is not responding'. Until a couple of months ago, this would be occasional, but now it is every time I want to use Acrobat. I am seriously considering cancelling my subscription to Adobe as a whole.

Please read my post again. The problem occurs when I open a MS Word document. Therefore I can't reproduce in Acrobat.

Thanks normharris3 for the information. This is the known limitation on Mac Arm machines. Acrobat 2020 typically runs on an X86_64 chipset. However, the macOS M1 device runs Microsoft® Office 365 and Microsoft® Office 2016 apps on the ARM64/Universal chipset.
The error occurs due to incompatibility between the chipset configuration for Acrobat 2020 and ARM-based devices, such as macOS M1, M2, M3.

So I just grin and bear it?
Does a newer Adobe Acrobat solve the issue?
Thanks much,
Norm

Yes, this issue is resolved in Adobe Acrobat Classic 2024 and Adobe Acrobat DC tracks. You can upgrade Acrobat to these versions to avoid this issue.

Any suggestions as to which upgrade is more appropriate for a very basic user of Acrobat but who from time to time does use many of its features? In other words, any version is overkill for 90% of my use. 😉 LOL
Thank you.

Anyone of you experts have any suggestions as to which Acrobat app or plan? I quickly get lost in all the options.
Thanks either way.

Acrobat Classic 2024 is a buy licence, Acrobat DC is a subscription licence. THe problem with Acrobat 2020 is that it does not evolve. As long as 2024 evolves, you will be fine, but at some stage, you may have similar issues again. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/download-acrobat-classic.html
Acrobat DC:
The Pro version includes some additional tools. You can see the differences in the table by scrolling down.
