Multi line, no limit text field does not resize text even though auto font size is selected

I have created a lesson plan PDF document that I wish to use for my classes, since writing things out in digital format is easier for storage and faster to type. I used Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to auto-detect form entry points, and added text fields to parts it missed (as is standard procedure). The problem I am seeing right now is with the multi-line text fields, which I have unchecked the character limiter, not resizing the text after entering an amount of text to the bottom edge of the text field. I have already confirmed that "format" is not selected and that the field is not validated or calculated.

settings are as follows:

-Position-

H:  76.12mm

W: 89.42mm

-Text-

Size: Auto

Font: Courier New

-Options-

+Multi-Line

+Allow Rich Text Formatting

-No character limit

Format/Calc/Validate = none

this seems to be happening with just the multi-line text fields. the single-line textfields do not have this issue...

Bernd, thanks for the reply.

Odd as this sounds, that seems to be the exact problem. I am curious to know why this is an issue, though. One would think that rich text formatting would be allowed to be scaled.

With rich text formatting you can assign different font sizes to the text.
