The new Acrobat UI is extremely buggy. To go back to the old UI click the Options button at the top left corner (Windows) or open the View menu (Mac) and select Disable New Acrobat.
And you can vote here to get rid of it: https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/47082691-ditch-t...

Thanks, I hadn't noticed that option, now revert to the old UI and all is well again.

I was also able to find the old interface which I'm quite glad about. I use Adobe almost exclusively for extr5act pages and am dissapointed that the dialogue box is not the same as it used to be.
I used to be able to type in the first page of the extracted set only as the dialogue box would already have the final page I was on selected in the right entry area. Now there is only one entry area that comes pre populated with the final page, but requires more clicking and keyboard strokes to input it. I also tend to rush and delete what is already in the box so it takes even longer.
With large amounts of extracting files in my job, I look for the shortest time possible. I would like to see the old extract pages dialogue box brought back.

Hi DaveStears,
Thank you for reaching out.
This behavior has already been reported to the team, and they are working on fixing it.
We will update you once the fix patch will be available for this. We appreciate your patience.
Thanks,
Meenakshi
