my text is showing up too light instead of black

I am trying to set my manuscript up for Lightning Source and when I save it as a PDF using Acrobat Standard X version, it looks light. I thought I found the solution by going to Edit, Preference Accessibility and shade in replace document color and then choose custom color black, But, everytime I close the file, it reverts back to the light colored text. By the way I'm working in Windows and Word.

Would you have a look of this to change the colour intensity of the file  Adobe Acrobat Color settings
