Newbie asks: Acrobat DC always opens at "fit width"--how to change?

Hello, All;

I'm new to the forums.

Is there a registry setting that wll let me specify this and other startup settings?

Sometimes opening at page width sets magnification to 400%; usually around 140%. Always too big.

I'd like that to be 100% or 75% for EVERY open.

You can set the default magnification level for files you open via Edit - Preferences - Page Display - Zoom.

That's a bad question, self. I stop short of calling us "dumb".

Common sense would tell you and me to look in Preferences, which are almost always found under File or Edit in other programs. Here: Edit.

"Registry hack"?? Surely we jest.

Sincerely,

Y'own dang self

ah ha... thanks for asking - I always hated that about Adobe... I always had scrolling issues and had to do that manually until now that I looked it up... Great to know and every time I open an acrobat .pdf file  I will remember to be happy I'm not doing it the old way anymore.. happy here... thanks
