Opening a completed PDF form/File in Illustrator without losing data

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

I send a form to an employee and they fill it out. When I get it back via email I want to open it illustrator to resize the file but lose the data. Solution?

Don't use Illustrator to edit PDF files. Use Acrobat.

In Acrobat DC you can use a Preflight Fixup to convert form data to page contents. I don't remember if you can do that in Acrobat 9, If you can't, you could save it as an image, then place it into Illustrator.

Also, opening a PDF in Illustrator can cause unexpected changes, Placing it as a link is preferred.
