Whenever I open a document in Adobe Acrobat, it just scrolls to the bottom.  When I try to go to the top, it automatically pages through the document.   Automatic scrolling is not checked.   Please help!

Hi lodojo,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble.

Please try the following suggestions:

- If you are using full-screen mode, exit it by pressing Esc or Ctrl + L.
- Disable Read Mode: Go to Menu > View > Read Mode to toggle it off.

- Reset Page Display Preferences

  • Go to Edit > Preferences > Documents
  • Uncheck Restore last view settings when reopening documents
  • Then go to Page Display and reset any unusual settings.

- Disable Accessibility Features

  • Go to Edit > Preferences > Accessibility
  • Uncheck options like Always use Page Layout Style or Use document structure for tab order

- Check for Sticky Navigation Settings

  • Open the PDF
  • Go to File > Properties > Initial View
  • Set the Navigation tab to “Page Only” and Open to page 1

- Update or Repair Acrobat

  • Go to Menu > Help > Check for Updates
  • Or try Help > Repair Installation

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
