page numbering on acrobat

Hi,

some of my books are numbered using numbers and letters, e.g. 124A etc.

Is there a way to re-number pages so it shows in the PAGE NAVIGATION toolbar the same number (including also letters) as on the page itself?

Sure. Open the Pages panel, right-click the first thumbnail and select Number Pages, and specify the following settings:

thank you for your reply! I usually use the method you suggested, but it doesnt work for two styles numbering. When I try to type the page number in start box, I get an error notification. adobe doesn't seem to like the letter-number combo, what would you suggest?

That's not possible. You can only use a prefix before the numbers, and you have to fill it in the Prefix field, separately from the number.
