Hi
I have 2 pdf "New_FPP_Pg4" and Old_Source_pg4. I want to do Text compare. But Acrobat DC compare report shows error in untouched area. Mainly it shows error in Ligatures, hyphen and Mdash. I attached page 4 DC compare report, FPP and old Source Pg 4 PDF for your reference.
Please let us know why Acrobat DC show error in untouched pages

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
I have tried to compare the two pages that you have provided and its working fine on my end.
Would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20142 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
What is the workflow/steps you are doing to compare the files? A small video recording of the same will be very helpful.
We are here for help, just need more information.

I also got the compare output but it shows error were there is no any changes.
I am using acrobat version 2022.001.20142. Windows version
After doing compare it shows difference in 5 occurrence. But there is no any changes in that old and new version PDF.
It shows difference in ligatures and Mdash.
As per your request I shared the video of steps that I performed.

In addition to the above in the year 2020 itself I reported 4 issues in Acrobat DC compare report in acrobat User voice. I share the below link for your reference.

Hi there
Is this an issue with the particular set of the PDF files or with all the other PDFs as well, please try with a different set of PDF files and see if that works.
Also, update the application to the new version 22.1.20169 from the help menu > check for updates and see if that helps.

I have checked both the files and compared them on my end and then revied the changes in side-by-side mode, once you do that and click on the highlighted sections you will see that there are minor changes in the font size and thus they got captured in the compare tool and showing you the 42 replacements (which are the changes made to the font sizes) as shown in the screenshot below:

As per your request I attached the issue of the video recording. We are using license font only.
In both the PDF font used Fornier MT Pro. But font size is different. But I am doing Text compare only, so in textual compare it need to look into text only not the font and font size.
I also share the PDF and compare report for your testing.

Please try to update the application to the recent version 23.08.20470 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/3SA8YWj and check.
If it still doesn't work, would you mind collecting the Adobe CC logs https://adobe.ly/4bilyRq , Procmon logs (Win Only) https://adobe.ly/3SBLjVr and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.

I already shared the number of reference PDF and details Excel report about the PDF compare bug issue in Acrobat DC.
I also raised this issue in Adobe Bug with details reference PDF and supporting files
