PDF document modified remotely after being sent to me?

Hi. I was wondering if it is possible for a sender of a PDF to modify/edit the PDF after sending it? As I received a PDF and now there has been information changed in it and I am trying to figure out how it was done? I would appreciate any help anyone could give me, Thank you

No, not remotely, but the file can contain code that will modify the way it looks. However, you will always be able to close the file without saving it, disable JavaScript in the application, and then go back to the original version (unless you installed a script file that will allow the code to save the modified file silently).

NB. This is assuming the file is saved on your local machine. If you're viewing it on a remote server, or the cloud, then it's possible it was updated there, and then you opened the new version of it the second time you accessed it.

Then the chances of it happening without you knowing about it are extremely small. What kind of changes do you think happened to it? And does it also happen if you open the original file with JS disabled?

I'm sorry it doesn't matter if it's saved on your computer take it off your computer and put it in an external drive. I'm telling you I know what I'm talking about. I don't care what anybody else says. I've gone through five years of this trying to copy and put it on the external hard drive

No, it was done remotely again on a network you can put it in the shared position. They can make all the changes they want, and that does not affect the date that it was uploaded to the portal. They can't change the contents of the document and you don't know anything about it For most networks it says revise with revisions revise show revisions and it happens all the time now if you're on a private network say at a Law Firm if they want to change the contract, they can remotely change the contract. I have it on video and if you open up word and look up to the top Right hand side of the document, it will have your administrative functions if you were the person who executed the document

I completely agree, and I watched it happen. The people remotely were editing the document and when they got done, a red line went across the PDF file and said revise. I called them and told them that they had already sent me the document I was not part of the organization and they didn't have the right to modify any of my contracts without my consent They did it anyhow, and then they went back and deleted the files that they sent me there's on a administrative function in Microsoft office or word that they can put things in the shared position that also happens at your local clerk of court office. They can change the document anytime they want to And they do it so for somebody to say it's not done that's not true. I sat there and watched my documents being changed. I need some of those documents my heart thankfully, I printed some of them out and I can prove it. I still have problems over what they did
