Greetings,
I created a PDF form in Adobe Acrobat DC. When I entered texts in text field on my computer (Windows system), the texts appeared horizontally as usual. However, one of my colleagues tested this PDF form on his computer (Mac system), the texts appeared vertically in the text field. Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how to solve this issue.
Thank you!
Si Ding

Is the other person using Adobe Reader or Acrobat, or something else such as Apple's Preview?

Sorry that my previous reply didn’t show up correctly in Adobe Forums.
According to my colleague’s notes:
In Preview (the native mac pdf viewer) text goes in sideways
In Acrobat it goes in horizontal. Version of acrobat:
Architecture: x86_64
Build: 19.10.20069.311970
AGM: 4.30.83
CoolType: 5.14.5
JP2K: 1.2.2.42216
It looks like if a person uses the latest version of Adobe Reader or Acrobat to edit PDF form, the texts should appear horizontally in both Windows system or Mac system. We will send this PDF file to 90 departments to fill in, and I will add a note “Please use latest version of Adobe Reader or Acrobat to edit this PDF form. Please do not use your computer’s preview program to edit the PDF form since it may appear differently. ” in the notification.
Does this note sound right to you? Or is there any other notes I need to add in the notification?
Thank you so much!
Si Ding

Preview is a buggy application. Ask them to use Adobe Reader.
