PDF forms and e-signature requests issue

Community Beginner ,
Jan 22, 2025 Jan 22, 2025

Created PDF fillable forms for new hires and been using for years. All the sudden when sending the forms as "Request e-signature" the recipients fill out the forms and receive the below message which redirects them and makes them completely redo the form.

"Something went wrong. To proceed with completing this agreement, we will redirect you to our classic experience, which will clear any signatures and initials you entered in this agreement."

Have contacted support twice with no help. We use the forms daily, so very important that we get it working correctly or we'll have to cancel our subscription and try to find another app that allows us to successfully create forms and send for signatures.

The solution that ended up working for us was to open the pdf file and resave with the "Microsoft Print to PDF" option. After that, we were able to choose the Prepare Forms option and redo all our files to send out via e-signature request. Hope this helps for you!

Hi, it's hard to tell what the issue is just by reading about it. But I wondered has something to do with you creating the file in an older version? Did you try perhaps saving it again as a new version in the updated Acrobat and seeing if that works?

Otherwise, you could email it to me at mark@headtrix.com and I can try to take a look at it.

thanks!

Yes, I've completely wiped all my fillable fields off the documents, open via web browser, resaved as pdf, filled out the forms again and still get the same results.

We are experiencing the same issue, it is very frustrating when we are trying to get contracts/HR forms signed. Have you managed to resolve the issue?

Hi bw_hr_2078,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please let us know if the issue occurs with the document sent or received for signature. Could you please share the screen recording of what happens when you open the document and get an error message?

Thanks,

Meenakshi

This is seeming to be a new issue that is affecting MANY users and Adobe has not addressed it nor taken steps to troubleshoot or provide true insight. This did not start happening until pretty recently as my research has lead me to. Adobe really needs to escalate this!

I will try this - unfortunately we haven't seen the issue come back up recently so not sure why it appears sometimes but not always.

Ill will let you know if/when we see this workaround as successful.

Hi! I'm having this same issues and everytime someone tries to complete my form, it gives the error. It sends them to classic view but deletes most of whatever they completed.
