PDF View with black borders

Hi,

We recently had a problem with the display of PDF documents, with which we had no problems at all with our customers in the past. We haven't changed anything in the pictures either.

We suspect that this problem could be due to the PDF rendering.

We have product images that were cropped in Photoshop. We have always worked with these images in the past. We have included them in InDesign in a product flyer. As usual, we have also exported this product flyer as a PDF with SRGB representation.

If you now open this flyer in Acrobat DC on a normal (not Retina) screen, these cut-out products show black borders. When I print out this PDF on the Mac, the edges are not visible. Our customer has included the PDF on his website. When I open this PDF link on the website with Safari, the PDF is displayed cleanly. It also works in print. When I open this PDF link of the flyer with Chrome, black borders are displayed on the normal screen (not Retina). These are very minimal on the Retina screen.

When we open the PDF that is faulty in Acrobat in "Apple Preview", everything looks very clean and perfect.

We as an agency as well as our customer are up to date with the latest Adobe Cloud versions.

What could be the reason? We haven't changed anything in the pictures. But what we have changed are the updates to the Adobe Cloud. We have updated them regularly.

Thank you for your support

Toby
