Preflight report question

Community Beginner ,
Jan 26, 2017 Jan 26, 2017

We are ready to submit a book but are seeing an issue that has never shown up before.

Seeing nothing in Indesign files or anything else that should be giving us any problem

Pre-flight report reads:

Uses CID Type 2 font (2028) matches

Five of us are scratching our heads.  Have used CC Indesign 2017 and Adobe 2017 for the preflight.

Any thoughts/help/advice or ignore this?

(1)     There is no such program as “Adobe CC 2017.” We assume you mean Acrobat DC, the newest version of Acrobat that is available with a subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud or Document Cloud.

(2)     The results you are showing are informational. That's what the blue circle with the ‘i’ means. There is no problem with the file. Just ignore it.

(3)     Generally speaking, Adobe recommends the PDF/X-4 PDF export settings for InDesign for non-interactive content (unless you have a Luddite print service provider who requires something otherwise). PDF/X-4 provides for live transparency and color management, both of which provide best results when either printing directly from Acrobat or Reader or when submitting the PDF file to a native PDF RIP.

I am assuming since this is a rather technical manual with images and anatomical drawings and body charts

that the issues are with the labels inside the graphics, in terms of size, colorant, etc. Images are 300 res but include

many many labels.
