Prepare form will not work

I want to ad ad date with prepare Form tool. Bur I get a forbidden sign when trying. Why?

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to add the date field in the PDF form.

- What is the workflow/steps you are doing to add the date field ?

 - Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try to create a new PDF form and try to add the date field and see if that works for you. - What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also, try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described in the help page - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and see if that helps.

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Hi,

Are you clicking and dragging the icon, if so, click and release, and you should see a blue area appear when you move the mouse over the PDF, once you have the blue area where you want it, click again.

Not the most user friendly interface.

Can you add other form fields?
