I have been getting this for a long time. When I try to save emails from users as PDFs, some of them are saved as log files rather than PDFs. I have to go into Printer Preferences/Properties and uncheck "Add documentation information" & " Rely on system fonts only: do not use for document fonts" in order to get them to save correctly. I do not want to have to do this each and every time...is there a way to update our properties? I am using acrobat version 2024.002.20687 | 64 bit.

1. What is Acrobat version exactly?

2. What is operating system version?

3. Please show log contents in full - open in Notepad and copy/paste.

Here is an image of the log file that comes up when i try to save it as a PDF. Kinda random, doesn't affect every email.

Hey, not sure if you solved this yet. If unchecking these 2 boxes makes it work in outlook correctly then I would suggest making the change at the system level instead of doing it in Outlook every time you print. If go to your computer's settings and view printer & scanners, you should be able to manage the properties of "Adobe PDF" as a printer. There you can uncheck those 2 boxes and HOPEFULLY it'll fix the problem of you having to uncheck the boxes every time you print.

Hey, I’m facing the same issue. From what I understand, the log file indicates that Adobe couldn’t find the font used in the email, which in this case is Aptos. It tried to substitute it with the Courier font, but an error occurred, causing the job to be canceled and the error to be logged.

In Adobe’s print properties, the setting “Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts” forces Adobe to use only the fonts installed on the system, not the ones embedded in the document. So, when Adobe can’t find the required font, it generates this log file.

The fix you’re applying seems correct. By unchecking “Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts,” you’re allowing Adobe to use the fonts embedded in the document. I didn’t need to uncheck “Add document information.”

I followed @e_5894 reply and made the change in windows rather then per application.

This did not work today : unchecking “Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts,”  If there's another fix, plz post it. Thanks
