Hello- I am having an issue with adobe acrobat reader. I have a pdf with one image, and I want to print that image 4 times on one sheet of paper. I go to print, page scaling- multiple pages per sheet. I select 4, but it only prints one, at the correct size- about 1/4 of the page. I think the situation is like MS Word, where if I want to print the same page 4 times per sheet, I need to copy the page 3 times, so I have the same page 4 times in a row, then tell it print 4 pages per sheet. I can do that fairly easy in MS word, but I cannot do that in adobe reader. Also- I cannot copy the image and paste into Word or Publisher. The copy option is not available for some reason. I checked the security settings, nothing said "cant copy images." Also- I have updated adobe reader, no change.

How can I print one image/page 4 times on the same sheet in adobe reader 9?

Thanks much for any help.

Kevin

Okay, same question for full Acrobat. How print one image several times on same page? Can print multiple images, why not the same one?

  • combine the 4 pdf documents

It's a good workaround, but it is a workaround. I and many other paying Acrobat users think it shouldn't be necessary. And Bernd will tell us that's a "special requirement", but given the 196,000 hits I get on google searching this subject, I humbly suggest it's something users would like to see in the next version.

And I'm certainly not a hater - I've been a paying customer for decades - and I love the multiple pages on a single sheet features - it's intuitive and simple - a great piece of coding and design that makes possible this workaround. I just think doing the same with a single page should be part of the printing features in Acrobat.

BTW, if the file we wanted to print was an "image" we could accomplish this easily in Photoshop's picture package or in many basic image processors - even, on the Mac side - in iPhoto. Come on, Team Adobe Acrobat, you're not going to let the Team Adobe Photoshop guys win, are you? Or, worse, Apple?

Bernd, thanks for the clear answer. And honest "It doesn't do that, but here's how you can accomplish the same thing" has saved me and others time and energy in searching for something that doesn't exist. Despite my comments above, I do actually appreciate your answer.
