Hi... I was trying to print a Powerpoint to Adobe and got the following message.  What does this mean?  My colleague did it without a problem.  Thanks.

That's a typical error code when a job is printed to PostScript and something goes wrong.

The message states that the font Source Sans Pro Regular isn't available, that it's an invalid font.

It's been many years since I've seen printing errors like yours, but there's something awry with your Source Sans Pro-Regular font.

  • Is it on your system?
  • Does the name match what's listed in the error?
  • Do you have 2 or more conflicting versions of the same font on your computer?

Hi Bevi

This is a standard PPT template that we use for a client, and I have never heard of this font let alone used it.  My colleague was able to print to PDF without a problem, so it sounds like a problem with me.  I had a similar issue a week or so ago when printing to PDF caused a cascade of Notepad errors that I could only get rid of by hard reboot.  I have done a search on the document itself and there is no such font on the PPT.  So I am a bit lost as to what the issue could be.

Sometimes fonts are buried inside graphics/tables/pdfs placed into the PPT slide.

Could that be a possibility with your file?
