I am fairly new to Acrobat 9.0 Pro.  I just did a "Comments and Markup" on a pdf document, saved it and tried to print it, but the comments and markups won't print (they show on the screen document but not in the print dialogue box for my printer).  What am I missing?

Bill:

I apologize for my ignorance on this, but where do you find "printer selection" and these options?  I select my printer through XP and don't find any printer selection options in Adobe.

Hi,

1. Go to Edit>Preferences.

2. Select Commenting in the left category pane.

3. Check the checkbox "Print notes and pop-ups".

The comment and markup added to the file should now be visible in the preview as well as printed.

Thanks,

Swati

I made this selection, but it has not affected the printing - still no comments or markups showing, even after closing out and coming back into Adobe.

I have followed all the steps recommended (selected document and markups, checked preferences to allow comments, etc.) , but still cannot print the PDF with comments - they only show up in preview, with comments in the right column. I'd also like to be able to share it with the comments, but when I send it to one of my email accounts it comes through with none of the edits or comments at all. I am on a MacBook Air, Mojave 10.14.6, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, continuous release version 2020.009.20065.

I have the same issue, i have been printing markups that i use my I pen to do and i have been doing this for a long time. However just recently it has stopped working, i have tried everything and researched as much as i can but nothing has worked. If i markup a word document then it prints no problems but if it is a PDF then i can see the markups but as soon as i go to print them they disappear in the print preview and will not print.

Please help

After you made a selection of "print and mark-up" and clicked "OK", it requires restart (see "Requires Restart" near the "OK" option.
