I am trying to print a PDF but need it to be printed to the right side of the page in a smaller scale than 100 percent so that I can hole punch it and put it in a binder. I have tried everything to get it to move over but it only wants to print to the left side. I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC so I cannot get help from Adobe Support. They only give me website links and then leave the chat.

Hi Shelbyr,

I am trying to print a PDF but need it to be printed to the right side of the page in a smaller scale than 100 percent so that I can hole punch it and put it in a binder.

If you would like to shift it to the right size, have you tried changing its scaling? While printing you may adjust the page scaling and handling and change the "Custom Scale"

Edited:

Or as an alternate, you can try booklet printing, which would shift the page to the right side to give enough of margin.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a free application and its only supported on Adobe Forums. Which might be the reason that you have not been directed to the Adobe Support (Phone/Chat) page.

Let us know if you are referring to something else.

We have checked your Adobe account, but couldn't find any subscription for Acrobat. Which might be the reason that you have not been directed to the Adobe Support page.

That’s what the OP is saying: he has only the free reader and so he is not entitled for support above Adobe id support.

I do not see how booklet printing could be of help here.

I see 2 possibilities:

  • In Acrobat: Scale down your page a small amount and set « Auto Portrait/Landscape ». That centers the page to the sheet and may leave enough room to the left.
  • With your printer driver: Some printers allow for changing the printers margins. This in combination with a « fit to page » could do the job.
