Problem Installing Acrobat X on new Windows 11 Computer

Explorer ,
Jul 29, 2023 Jul 29, 2023

I have been running Acrobat X Standard on my Windows 7 computer for a long time, without problems.  When I try to install it on my new Windows 11 computer, the installation proceeds without problems until it asks for the serial number for a previous qualifying product.  My previous qualifying product is Acrobat 7 Pro, but when I enter that serial number it is not accepted.  Apparently Acrobat 7 Standard would be a qualifying product, but I had Acrobat 7 Pro.  Is there a workaround so that I can install Acrobat X Standard on my new computer?

No, if you don't have a qualifying license for your upgrade version you can't use it. This has nothing to do with the OS version, though. You must have been asked for the same thing when you installed it on your current computer.

Having said that, Acrobat X is an old and unsupported version, not compatible with Windows 11, so problems with it are to be expected.

I have a similar problem, i.e. I have a CS6 license key and it works without any problems on Windows 10. When I try to install it on Windows 11, the same key is recognized as "invalidated" and I should contact the Adobe helpdesk

Hi, were you able to solve the problem? I have the same problem. All products of the CS6 Master Suite work, only Adobe Acrobat X does not.

Unfortunately. the problem is still there. The program asks for the license number. After entering the license number, a message appears that the number is invalid.
